Hi, there are various reasons for mouth ulcers it could be because of spicy food, medications, bad digestion, eating hard food etc. You can go for professional check up to get the exact cause and solution for the same. Without checking her clinically we can't suggest anything.

CLEANING Cleaning your teeth is much better & healthier than deposits on teeth. You can be certain that the dentist could not remove enamel with his/her scaler (The cleaning kit). The more likely scenario is that the dentist will remove some calculus or tartar build up between & around the teeth that the gap was being filled in by it & henceforth removing the tartar successfully makes an existing space visible. The other scenario is that your teeth are beginning to move (shift). You may consult me in person. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Always rinse your tooth brush thoroughly after brushing, and allow it to air-dry before using it again.

My brother used to consume oral steroids for some time to build body. Now though he has stopped taking it, he had lost lot of weight and suffering from dental problem again and again. Please suggest some remedy to over come this and reduce the effect of steroids (tablet).

Abrupt stopping of steroids will lead to withdrawal symptoms. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Myth # 1- Brushing is Bad for Bleeding Gums - in fact Gums bleed because of inflammation of the gums caused due to in effective Brushing.
Myth # 2 - Bad Breath means you are a Bad Brusher - Bad oral hygiene is one of the causes for Bad Breath other causes include Indigestion,Dry Mouth,Lack of Salivation,Sinusitis and post nasal Drip &Uncontrolled diabetes
Myth # 3 - Regular use of mouth wash is good for oral hygiene - fact is mouth washes are good for maintenance of oral hygiene but only when it is indicated and prescribed by your dentist.
Myth # 4 - Scaling and polishing will lead to spaces in between the teeth - the fact is after removal of calculus one starts feeling the gaps in between the teeth which were occupied by it.One need to start taking care from beginning so that they do not come across a situation where they have lots of calculus in between the teeth which lead to gum recession and spacing between the teeth.
Myth # 5 - Brushing with hard toothbrush will clean teeth more effectively - In fact bristles of hard toothbrush do not reach the crevices of the teeth and one need to apply more pressure. In the process all stress is borne by enamel and it starts wearing off.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1) Do a clinical exam by your treating Doctor (Gastroenterologist) and to confirm do (ENDOSCOPY) 2) Regarding prescription medication discuss with your Doctor about - a) AROMAC tab-500 mg (1-0-1) for 14 days b) Flagyl-Tab 400 mg(1-0-1)for 14 days c) ABIPANTA tab-40 (1-0-1) for 14 days d) ACICOT-O syrup-10 ml (1-1-1) for 30 days Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this - 1) Protect yourself from infections by frequently washing your hands with soap and water and by eating foods that have been cooked completely. 2) Use caution with pain relievers. If you regularly use pain relievers that increase your risk of peptic ulcer, take steps to reduce your risk of stomach problems. For instance, take your medication with meals. 3) Try to avoid drinking alcohol when taking your medication, since the two can combine to increase your risk of stomach upset. Hope that helps.
