Hello firstly start taking a full nutritious diet. A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health. And what ever we are eating that reflects on our body and skin. 1. Homoeopathic medicine for fair skin is berberis aquafolium mother tincture. Take 5 drops of it mix with water, twice a day. 2. Apply this tincture in diluted form on your face with cotton once a day. 3. Wash your face with besan and curd, mix a pinch of turmeric also. 5. Apply rose water to your face at night. 6. Apply cucumber juice+ lemon juice+ tomato juice on your face. 7. Apply multani mitti pack on the face, wash it off after it dries.

Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. Hello. Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. Also, use Bakson’s Apricot scrub 1-2times a week on the area.

Height is usually always dominated by genetics. How short are your parents? if you are their size or slightly taller then them, chances are you won't grow very much more. There are no amazing magic ways to get taller. Get lots of nutrition and calcium. Get tons of calcium. Bigger bones means bigger you. Work out and play sports alot. Also greatly emphasize stretching. Posture is also important. Walk as tall and as straight as possible and over time this will add a handful of centimetres to your height. Take ashwagandha powder 2-2 tsf twice a day and lakshadi guggul 1-1 tab twice a day with warm water.

These are the methods to treat fastly pimples: • Imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.

Nutrition For Kids - 8 Foods You Must Give Your Children!

It is often difficult for most of us to make your kids eat healthy food and keeping them away from junk and unhealthy food is a much bigger task. It is always easy for them to finish off a packet of chips than a cup of vegetables or fruits. Read on to know some of the healthiest foods that your kid should be biting into.

  1. Dairy products: These are a great source of proteins, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and other minerals. In addition, yogurt provides good bacteria. Milk and yogurt can also be included into smoothies which will also give them a blend of some fruits. Butter can be used in toasts and sandwiches as these foods are loved by children. You can replace plain milk with milkshakes, they are tastier and the children love them.
  2. Soups: These are another great source of nutrition, be it chicken or vegetables. They can be a good evening snack and not just prevent the evening hunger pangs but also come packed with a good amount of nutrition and hydration.
  3. Fruits: Each fruit contains different ingredients. Pick fresh seasonal fruits and incorporate them into your child’s diet as they hold a good amount of nutrients. Fruits provide a good supply of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and good sugars.
  4. Whole grains: Try a brown bread instead of white, replace refined flour pizza base with atta pizza base and white pasta with wheat pasta. These whole grains provide a lot more fiber and nutrition compared to the refined flours. The idea again is to let the kids eat any of them but on a rotational basis, so that benefits from all foods are derived.
  5. Vegetables: Get creative when getting the kids to eat vegetables and green leafy vegetables. From soups to salads to curries, try to rotate vegetables, and like fruits, use seasonal ones. They also have chlorophyll which helps improve their energy levels and reduce fatigue.
  6. Fish: One of the best sources of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, it helps in brain development and building immunity in children, making them less prone to illnesses.
  7. Nuts: While walnut is a well-known brain food, almonds are amazing for the skin and hair growth. Pecans are a good source of nutrients too. The rich oils in the nuts help fight diseases and are a great source of energy. Substituting the sugar candy with any of the nuts is a great way to indulge them in healthy snacking.
  8. Eggs: Whatever form, boiled, fried, scrambled, let the child indulge in their choice of eggs. A good source of protein which is very essential for hair, skin, and nails, try to squeeze in 4 eggs a week in your child’s diet.

Ensure these things find a way into the kid’s plate. In addition, some junk or fried stuff is always allowed! If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

Pimples or acne is caused when Hair follicles in your skin gets clogged due to oil, dirt, bacteria or dead skin. Acne generally occurs in people with oily skin but other factors like dead skin, dirt, pollution or hormonal imbalance can also cause acne in people with normal skin. Acne can be reduced or controlled by including some habits in your daily life style. 1. Keep your skin clean – Wash your face daily with an oil control face wash. You can also use a good AHA glow face wash that not only controls oil but also removes dead skin and bacteria. You can also use a good tea tree face wash. By shedding the old dead skin, your skin feels rejuvenated and clean. Apply a good toner, like tea tree toner after washing your face. After toning, apply an oil free and non- comedogenic cream on face. Last but not the least, apply a good sunscreen with minimum 30 spf daily. 2. Face packs – Occasionally apply good oil controlling face packs. Multani mitti + Lemon + yogurt is a good face packs for oily skin beauties. You can apply organic apple cider for 5 minutes after washing your face to kill the bacteria that clogs your pores. Green Tea can also be used as a toner once a day. 3.Diet – Most important thing is diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. Reduce junk food intake, colas, alcohol and soda and consume whole grains. Keeping your digestive system healthy keeps your body and blood toxins free. Drink green tea, lemon juice, orange juice and food items containing Vitamin C as it is responsible for maintaining good skin health. Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. 4.Exercise – Exercises, yoga, suryanamaskar improves the blood circulation and balances hormones. They keep skin healthy and boost body’s immunity to deal with several issues and not just acne. Include it in your daily regime.

Hello lybrate-user, well the black pigmentation around the neck is called acanthosis nigricans I would suggest you to wait till the delivery of your child and then start treatment, at times it resolves by itself after delivery.

 Food should be distributed into small frequent feeds. The days requirement should be well distributed between the different meals. Skipping a meal or fasting is not really advisable. 

As far as possible, the patient should maintain ideal body weight. Considering the height, weight, activity, age and sex of the individual the days calorie requirement can be calculated. Of the total calories 55-65% should come from cho's 15-20% from protein and the remaining 15-20% from fats. 

General instructions to be followed:

Different cereals contain almost the same amount of cho and so the quantity of cereal consumed should be noted rather than the type consumed. 

Whole grain cereals are better, preferred for their fibre content and satiety value.

Rice gruel if consumed, should be done so by discarding the rice water, and adding hot water. 

When consuming wheat porridge, it is better to have it with pulses than using coconut milk in it. 

Include whole pulses in the diet, soya products help to reduce cholesterol. Sprouted pulses are more nutrious. 

Fish can be included in the diet, in the curry form. Fried fish is the best avoided. Shell fishes like prawns, lobsters etc should be avoided. 

Poultry (without skin) can be used occasionally. Beef, pork, mutton, liver etc should be avoided by cardiac patients. Trim off excess fat (if any) before cooking. 

Egg yolk has to be avoided by individuals with hyperlipidemia. 

Milk and its products need not to be used more than 400 ml/ day. Use skimmed milk whenever possible, otherwise cream has to be removed before consumption. 

Root vegetable like tapioca, yam, potato, colocasia etc are better avoided and if used, should be in moderation instead of cereals.

Include more vegetables (esp. Raw salads and green leafy vegetables) in your diet, as it is rich in fibre which in turn helps to reduce blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Raw salads with sprouted pulses enhances the nutrient composition. 

Fruits are restricted for diabetics and preferably should be consumed as such than having it in the form of juice. Select low calorie fruits from exchange list. 

Cardiac and hypertensive patients can take 3-4 servings of fruits. Whenever possible consume fruits with edible skins eg. Apple. Guava etc. 

Use of coconut and its products must be minimized. 

Cardiac patients need not restrict the intake of tender coconut water, whereas diabetes can only use it occasionally. 

It is better to avoid nuts like badam, peanuts, cashew nuts etc. But occasionally can be used in restricted amounts instead of some other food items so that the calories remain unchanged. 

Sugar and sweet should be avoided by diabetic patients. Low calorie sweeteners can be used in moderation as substitutes for sugar, honey, sweets etc. Cardiac and hypertensive patients should minimize their intake of sugar and sweets. 

Garlic, curry leaves, fenugreek seeds cluster beans, oatbran etc have blood sugar and cholesterol loosing efforts. Ginger, foods in rich with vit- e and b carotene reduces the risk of cardiac diseases. 

Alcohol intake injurious to health, 1 ml of alcohol contains 7 calories. Alcohol can cause hypoglyemia and can increase triglycerides which can be harmful for the heart. 

Cooking oil used should be minimized and may be restricted to 10-15 ml/day. (2-3 tsp). Use cooking methods that require little or no fat. Hidden fat in bakery products and snacks should also be taken into account. 

Preferably use a combination of cooking oils like sesame. Ground nut, sunflower, rice bran, corn oil etc. Use of coconut and palm oil should be maintained at minimum levels. 

Dinner should be enjoyed two hours before retiring. At bed time either diluted milk of fruit can be consumed. 

Include foods from all the different food groups and thus consume a balanced diet. 

Regular exercise is most useful but physical strain after a meal should be avoided. 

Free foods (can be included liberally)


 Thin buttermilk, unsweetened lime juice, jeera water, fenugreek water, raw vegetable salads made of low calorie vegetables, plain clear soups etc. 

Foods to be used in moderation.

Cereals, pulses, dhals, egg white, fish, chicken (skinned) milk and milk products, fruits, coconut, oil etc. 

Foods to be avoided by diabetics. 

Sugar, honey, jaggery, glucose and sweets of all varieties like cake, pastries, jams, jelly, sweetened drinks etc. 

Roots and tubers like potato, tapioca, yam etc

Butter, ghee, dalda and fried preparations. 

Horlicks, bournvita, boost etc

Fruits like jackfruit, banana, mango, sapota etc. 

Dry fruits and nuts

Barley water, rice water etc. 

Cholesterol rich foods (to be avoided by cardiac patients)

Whole milk and milk products

Egg yolk

Shellfishes like prawn, crab, lobster etc. 

Organ meats like kidney, liver, brain etc. 

Chicken, duck with skin. 

Sweet like pastries, ice creams etc. 

Butter, ghee, dalda, coconut oil, palmoil

Fried foods like vada, chips, pappads, samosa etc. 

Alcoholic drinks, creams soups etc. 

Fiber rich foods

Whole wheat, parboiled, sago, oats etc. 

Pulses

Fenugreek and sesame foods

Vegetables and fruits (with skin)

Fresh coconut etc. 

Sodium rich foods (to be avoided by hypertensive patients)

Salt (avoid extra salt in food and table)

Baking powder, baking soda, ajinomoto etc

Bakery products like biscuits, cakes, pastries, chocolates, bread, bun etc. 

Salted chips, nuts, popcorn etc

Pappads, pickles, dried fish etc

Canned and salt preserved foods

Sauces, soup cubes

Sausages, lobsters, meat and yeast extracts

Carbonated beverages

Readymade foods like cornflakes, noodles, fast foods etc.

Proprietary drinks eg. Horlicks, complan, bournvita etc

Yes home made curd from double toned milk is very good for health. Here are some tips for weight loss. 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only 2. Drink 2-3 litres water daily 3. Avoid junk, fried, processed, preserved, sugary foods & drinks, alcohol. 4. Replace simple carbs (sugar, jaggery, honey, maida, sago, cornflour, arrowroot flour, potato, biscuit, cake, white rice, white bread) with complex carbs (whole fruits, vegetables, salads, whole grains-atta, dalia, suji, oats, millets, barley, brown rice, atta bread, quinoa, whole legumes-sprouts, soyabean, pseudo cereals-rajgira, makhana, & nuts, oilseeds). 5. Avoid skipping meals 6. Have early & light dinner. 7. Sleep & wake up early. Have a sound sleep 8. Brisk walk daily for 1 hr. 9. Walk/ cycle instead of taking transport, take stairs instead of lift/ escalator. 10. Cut down on total oil consumption. Have more of steamed/stewed foods till fatty liver problem is solved. Include nuts (Almonds) & oilseeds (sesame seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds) instead. 11. Avoid sleeping in afternoon 12. Take 15 mins light walk post main meals. Avoid sitting for an hr at a stretch continuously.
