My teeth appear so yellowish. Even brushing of my teeth looks yellow. How can it will be remove nd make it whitish.
Bleaching: teeth bleaching is the cosmetic proceedure to brighten your teeth. There are many ways of getting this proceedure from a registered dentist. Most commonly practised are, 1) office bleach: where the bleachant is applied on your teeth and we get results immediately within a span of 30-45 mins adv: quick results disadvantage: results don't last long (8-12 months) 2) home bleach: where the dentist makes a tray of your fitting and the bleachant is given to you and also demonstrated the application proceedure. You apply this for a period of 7 days and gradually you see your teeth brightens up. Adv: longer lasting results 1.5 to 2 years disadvantage: time consuming 3) combination bleach (office and home): office bleach performed as above mentioned and also home bleach performed as mentioned above adv: longest results > 3 yrs disadvantage: expensive all the above mentioned results last if the diet contains less of colouring substances and with approved products of bleachant. Please do not buy for online products and self prescribe it as it can have severe damaging effects on the teeth. Consult your dentist for expert opinion and for the best bleachant to be used. I hope I clarified your doubt if not revert back to me.

Hello I have read your query. As far as bleeding from gums is concerned is due to deposition of subgingival calculus in gums. Do not be worried so much I will suggest you to consult dentist for oral prophylaxis. Brush you teeth properly twice daily. Use mouthwash regularly. Hope my answer helps you.

Hello sir I got mouth urecles from so many days it is not going what should I do.
Dear lybrate user, normally ulcers take 7-14 days to heal properly; if they remain for a longer period, immediate dental consultation is mandatory. Drink plenty of water and fluid to keep yourself hydrated, avoid hot, spicy food and get yourself checked for any nutritional/vitamin deficiencies.

The foul smell in your mouth is due to accumulation of food debris, which is a result of inadequate maintenance of oral hygiene. I suggest that you get thorough professional cleaning/scaling done from a dentist, and use antibacterial mouthwashes thereafter. You should also clean your tongue twice daily with a tongue cleaner. Following all these measures will solve your problem. Scaling will also take care of your sensitivity issue. Hope that helps.

How to stop a toothache instantly?

Dentist, Udaipur
How to stop a toothache instantly?

What are some simple ways to get rid of a toothache fast?

A) before knowing about the remedies for relieving toothache, let us first understand the reasons for a toothache. Knowing the causes can help us prevent it.

Causes

Generally, toothache is a result of inflammation of the soft, central part of the tooth. The most common cause is cavities (tooth decay). Other causes include infection at the root of the tooth, chipped or broken teeth, damaged fillings, infected gums

Prevention

Since most toothaches are the result of tooth decay, following good oral hygiene practices can prevent toothaches. Follow these simple steps:

-brush twice daily with a fluoride-containing toothpaste
-floss once daily
-rinse once or twice a day with an antiseptic mouthwash
-consult your dentist twice a year for professional cleaning
-eat foods low in sugar

Natural ways to relieve a toothache

Popping painkillers and other drugs frequently to relieve pain is not always the best idea. They come with their own set of side effects and should be avoided whenever possible. You may try these simple, safe and effective remedies to help you relieve a toothache instantly and naturally:

1. Salt and pepper

Salt mixed with pepper can be of great use as both the ingredients have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties:
-mix equal amounts of pepper and common salt with a few drops of water to form a paste
-apply the paste directly on the affected tooth and allow it to sit for a few minutes
-repeat 2-3 times in a day

2. Garlic

Garlic has antibiotic and other medicinal properties that can be very effective in reducing the pain:
-mix a crushed garlic clove with some table salt or black salt and apply it directly on the affected tooth to alleviate the pain
-you can also chew one or two cloves of garlic to get relief

More: have garlic & 6 more foods for a healthy heart

3. Cloves

Cloves have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant and anesthetic properties that help alleviate tooth pain and fight infection:
-grind two whole cloves. Mix in a little olive oil or any vegetable oil and apply on the affected tooth
-another option is to dab a cotton ball in clove oil and rub it directly on the sore tooth
-you may also mix a few drops of clove oil in half a glass of water and use it as a mouth rinse

4. Saltwater

Saltwater cleanses the area around the tooth and draws out some of the fluid that causes swelling:
-stir a teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water and rinse for up to 30 seconds before you spit it out
-repeat this treatment as often as needed

5. Tea bag

The tannic acid in tea helps to relieve gum infections:

-steep a tea bag in boiling water for a few minutes, then remove and allow to cool
-hold the cooled teabag around your gums for about 5 minutes

6. Ice

Ice helps numb the nerves and hence the toothache:

-place a small ice cube in a plastic bag, wrap a thin cloth around the bag, and apply it to the aching tooth for about 15 minutes
-alternatively, that ice pack can go on your cheek, over the painful tooth

Do remember,

These remedies may help with short term relief. Consult your doctor if your toothache lasts longer than 1 or 2 days, if it is severe, or if you have a fever, earache, or pain upon opening your mouth wide. Proper identification and treatment of dental infections is very important to prevent its spread to other parts of the face and skull.

Sir, give me reason of hypersalivation and its remedy, kuch din mere mouth me khub sara saliva aya raha hai. Now may ...
Hypersalivation is not a disease but usually a symptom of another underlying condition. These other factors can range from easily treated and common causes to rare diseases. Saliva is a clear liquid produced by the salivary glands in the mouth. It moistens food and aids swallowing. It also contains enzymes that help with digestion. Saliva can help to heal wounds and remove germs from the mouth, as well as prevent dryness and act as a barrier against irritants and toxins. On average, a healthy person produces between 0.75 and 1.5 liters of saliva each day. Saliva production peaks when a person is eating and is at its lowest during sleep. Too much saliva can cause problems with talking and eating, along with chapped lips and skin infections. Hypersalivation and drooling can also cause social anxiety and diminished self-esteem. Hypersalivation can be the result of: excessive saliva production an inability to effectively swallow or clear saliva from the mouth difficulty keeping the mouth closed Causes of excessive saliva production, leading to hypersalivation, include: morning sickness or nausea during pregnancy sinus, throat, or peritonsillar infections poisonous spider bites, reptile venom, and poisonous mushrooms false teeth ulcers, inflammation, or pain in the mouth poor oral hygiene severe infections such as rabies or tuberculosis severe or sudden pain regurgitation of saliva during heartburn jaw fractures or dislocation Difficulty swallowing or clearing saliva from the mouth can be caused by or associated with some underlying conditions, including Down syndrome, autism, ALS, stroke, and Parkinson's disease. If a person also has a sensory dysfunction, they may not always realize that they are drooling. Causes of an inability to keep the mouth closed, which can result in drooling, include poor neuromuscular control of the muscles around the mouth. Cerebral palsy is an example of such a condition. Difficulty keeping saliva in the mouth can also be due to: poor head and lip control a constantly open mouth impaired tactile sensation an enlarged tongue or poor tongue mobility poor teeth alignment nasal blockage Hypersalivation can also result from non-medical conditions, such as seeing, smelling, or tasting food, or even just thinking about food. It can also be caused by chewing gum or by feelings of excitement and anxiety. Symptoms Symptoms of hypersalivation include drooling, spitting, and excessive swallowing. Other related symptoms include: chapped lips softening and damage to the skin around the mouth infection of the skin around the mouth bad breath dehydration speech disturbance pneumonia poor sense of taste Hypersalivation and drooling may also cause psychological complications and social anxiety, as well impact their ability to eat or speak. People who experience hypersalivation are more likely to inhale saliva, food, or fluids into their lungs, which can lead to aspiration pneumonia. This may happen when the gagging and coughing reflexes are impaired. Diagnosis The aim of diagnosing hypersalivation is to pinpoint the underlying cause and then to recommend the best available treatment for each affected person. A diagnosis is important, as some of the potential causes of hypersalivation have serious complications. To diagnose hypersalivation, a doctor may include an examination of the following: the mouth, teeth, and surrounding skin tongue control, swallowing ability, and jaw stability tonsils and nasal airways alertness and emotional state hydration, hunger, and head posture A doctor will usually consider it necessary to assess other criteria, including: existing medical conditions and ongoing medication how and when hypersalivation occurs the amount of extra saliva produced whether or not the problem is constant or intermittent any adverse effects on daily life Once the cause of hypersalivation is established, a doctor may take the following factors into account when recommending a treatment: severity and complications age and mental status whether hypersalivation is chronic or temporary associated neurological conditions the possibility of improvement Treatment and management Dealing with hypersalivation is about treating the underlying condition that is causing it, as well as managing the immediate effects of excess saliva in the mouth. Depending on the cause, the treatment can include certain types of therapies, medications, and home remedies. In extreme cases, surgery may be considered. Therapy: This can include behavioral modification and speech therapy. People experiencing hypersalivation may benefit from help with posture and head control. They can also learn techniques for lip closure, better tongue control, and swallowing. Medication: The aim of medication for hypersalivation is to reduce salvia production. Anticholinergic medication may be used, although it has a range of side effects, including drowsiness, restlessness, irritability, urinary retention, constipation, and flushing. Treatment can also include a beta-blocker or botulinum toxin (Botox). Home remedies: Drinking plenty of water can reduce saliva production. Tooth-brushing and rinsing with mouthwash can also temporarily dry out the mouth. The successful management of hypersalivation and the resulting drooling can improve a person's confidence and self-esteem. Some causes of hypersalivation may clear up over time without treatment. Such causes include pregnancy, anxiety, and minor injuries. Other causes can pose more serious medical challenges. This category includes neurological causes and nerve disorders. If chronic conditions are the cause, treatment may include lifelong management of a person's hypersalivation.
