Yes possible. Remember- Pregnancy is possible only on one day of cycle, day of ovulation when ovum is released from ovary of woman. That is why couple should have 12 to 24 cycles of unprotected sex around time of ovulation before going to Gynecologist or infertility specialist for further evaluation and advise. But in your case because of age go early.

It is great that you are willing to wake up early. For a healthy adult, 7-9 hour sleep is recommended. It may have a bit variation based on person's constitution. "Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise" This quote itself includes ‘early to bed’ along with ‘early to rise’. So first thing you need to adopt is early to bed. You need to be on your bed at least by 9: 00 PM. Sleep is considered adequate, when there is no daytime sleepiness. Avoid daytime sleep if any. If you are feeling sleepy after your lunch, then you need some guidance about your diet. You may have some physical exercise during 4: 00 PM to 6: 00 PM. Avoid eating during this period. Then only you will feel hungry in the evening. Take your dinner as early as possible, say before 8: 00 PM. Psychological stress, a poor sleep environment, an inconsistent sleep schedule, or excessive mental or physical stimulation in the hours before bedtime are the hurdles. Keep a regular sleep schedule. Avoid stimulating or stressful activities before bedtime. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine. Improve sleep environment by keeping very dim pleasant lights. Avoid computers, televisions and work materials in your bedroom. Adopt some meditation technique. It will relieve stress if any.

I think you should show it to your dentist. If he feels correct, he can do some necessary feelings to cover those sensitive areas. Sensodyne is not the solution to all kind of sensitivity. Avoid self medication and consult a dentist.

If you do not have sexual intercourse with your wife, she cannot become pregnant. If this bisexual orientation is acceptable to your wife, then you have no problem. But if she is not, you may have a huge marital problem. Then you may have to chose between any one.

Mucus with stools are the basic symptoms of Mal absorption, IBS, even sometimes related to TB. You should visit a Ayurveda physician for personalized consultation. This can enable the doctor to understand the additional symptoms and do the needful. As a Home remedy - 100 ml buttermilk + 5 gm of curry leaves + 5 gm coriander leaves all mixed, churned to be taken once a day. This will help you to get rid of the symptoms. I'm loosing my weight. I'm very thin I eat everything but my body is decreasing. What should I do.
To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hello lybrate-user, peroduo contains adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. It helps to decrease acne formation by causing skin peeling and killing bacteria that cause acne. Hence you noticed skin peeling. These effects usually decrease with continued usage. You should use it only under guidance of a doctor. Quantity used should be just a pea sized amount on each affected area of face. A slight stinging or mild sensation of warmth can be felt after using it. It also makes your skin photosensitive, avoid sun to prevent sun burn. Use sunscreen if you are out for longer duration. Exposure to cold temperature may also irritate affected area when you are using peroduo. You need to always follow safety instructions to avoid any adverse effect of medication used. Revert back if you need further guidance.

Are Osteoporosis and Osteopenia fast turning into diseases of the young?

Why Osteoporosis and Osteopenia are fast turning into diseases of the young.

Did you know that osteoporosis causes more than 8.9 million fractures worldwide every year? What is frightening is many  of these fractures are now taking place among the youth due to deficit  diet and poor lifestyle coupled with genetic predisposition. Both osteoporosis and osteopenia are two forms of bone loss conditions, with the latter being a precursor to the former. To distinguish between the two a bone mineral density test is usually performed.

What is difference between Osteoporosis and Osteopenia?

A BMD (bone mineral density) T-score between -1 SD and -2.5 SD indicates osteopenia with a high chance of osteoporosis. On the other hand, a T-score of -2.5 SD and below stands for osteoporosis. A higher bone density (above -1SD) is usually indicative of stronger bones. Fragility index is more accurate way to assess risk of fractures.

In osteoporosis the bone loss or weakening of bones take place over a long period of time, and results in unexpected fractures and severe bone problems. Disfigurement, fractures in the spine, loss of mobility and independence are usual characteristics of this bone disease once it progresses further.

Prevention is better than cure, ALWAYS!

To keep bones strong and healthy, calcium and phosphate is continuously absorbed by the body. But after 30, the body’s ability to absorb calcium slows down and there’s a decrease in the production of new bones. In contrast, bone desorption (the process of transferring calcium from the bone to the blood) continues unabated.

When the body starts absorbing the store of calcium in the bones to meets its needs, it leads to calcium depletion and is one of the causes of weakening of the bone.

At present, the age limit (50-60 years) for osteoporosis has seen a drop with many younger people increasingly suffering from the ailment. Factors like unhealthy lifestyle, late-night shifts, smoking and alcohol consumption have been found to be the culprits behind the rise in osteoporosis cases among the young.  Recent studies have identified vitamin D deficiency as a major factor for poor bone health and bone mass density in the young.

How to keep your bones strong and healthy? And manage Osteo - penia/porosis complications:

Bone loss can be prevented by adopting these very simple but effective ways:

- Exercising can help in building strong bones and muscles, while preventing bone loss.

- Maintaining a calcium intake of 1000 mg for pre-menopausal women and 1200 mg for women post menopause.

- Staying out in the sun for 20 minutes to produce requisite amount of Vitamin D for calcium absorption and using supplements of vitamin D.

- there are many safe medicines available to prevent and treat osteoporosis like alendronates, calcitonin, Parathyroid , teriparatide preparation etc.

- In osteoporosis induced /associated fractures we have to to modify implants to negate weak purchase of implants in bone and improve mobility.

We have been using these modifications in established osteopenia/porosis case in fractures treatment/joint replacement/ arthroscopic fixations and MIS spine fracture management.
