Ayurvedic Advise for cervical spondylosis-

1)Patient should be advised to sleep in supine position with small pillow.

2)Computer operators must be taught to do flexion, extension, and rotation once in every half an hour for two - three times

3)Bed rest is advised for 3 days.

4)A smooth massage js recommended.

5)Lumbar traction is more useful in clinical practice than cervical traction. (Cervical neck traction aggravates the problem)

6)While giving massage, pressure should not be given.

7)All other physiotherapies are not much useful

8)Keeping hand as pillows must be avoided.

9)It is better to use small pillows

10)Don't keep your hand under head while you are watching TV.

11)Use the towel slowly and carefully over the scalp once you finish bathing.

12)Reduce using two-wheelers like bike, etc.

13)Don't use cell phone while driving.

14)Took proper diagnosis by ONLY Ayurvedic doctors

I am having bad back pain. Mainly in the lower back. I find it keeps switching for the right side to the left side. I have notice I lose balance easy and it hurts to lean and my back is really sensitive. People have told me it could be a pinched nerve but im not sure.

U need to do an X-Ray of lumbar spine Try a few basic exercises to stretch and strengthen your back and supporting muscles. Repeat each exercise a few times, then increase the number of repetitions as the exercise gets easier /healthy-lifestyle/adult-health/multimedia/back-pain/sls-20076265? S=7 1.Knee-to-chest stretch Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor (A). Using both hands, pull up one knee and press it to your chest (B). Tighten your abdominals and press your spine to the floor. Hold for 5 seconds. Return to the starting position (A) and repeat with the opposite leg (C). Return to the starting position and then repeat with both legs at the same time (D). Repeat each stretch two to three times — preferably once in the morning and once at night. 2. Lower back rotational stretch Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor (A). Keeping your shoulders firmly on the floor, roll your bent knees to one side (B). Hold for five to 10 seconds. Return to the starting position (C). Repeat on the opposite side (D). Repeat each stretch two to three times — preferably once in the morning and once at night. 3. Lower back flexibility exercise Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor (A). Tighten your abdominal muscles so your stomach pulls away from your waistband (B). Hold for five seconds and then relax. Flatten your back, pulling your bellybutton toward the floor (C). Hold for five seconds and then relax. Repeat. Start with five repetitions each day and gradually work up to 30. 4. Bridge exercise Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor (A). Keeping your shoulders and head relaxed on the floor, tighten your abdominal and gluteal muscles. Then raise your hips to form a straight line from your knees to your shoulders (B). Try to hold the position long enough to complete three deep breaths. Return to the starting position (C). Repeat. Start with five repetitions each day and gradually work up to 30. 5. Cat stretch Position yourself on your hands and knees (A). Slowly arch your back, as if you're pulling your abdomen up toward the ceiling (B). Then slowly let your back and abdomen sag toward the floor (C). Return to the starting position (A). Repeat three to five times twice a day. 6. Seated lower back rotational stretch Sit on an armless chair or a stool. Cross your right leg over your left leg. Bracing your left elbow against the outside of your right knee, twist and stretch to the side (A). Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the opposite side (B). Repeat this stretch three to five times on each side twice a day. 7. Shoulder blade squeeze Sit on an armless chair or a stool (A). While maintaining good posture, pull your shoulder blades together (B). Hold for five seconds and then relax. Repeat three to five times twice a day. Runner's Knee - 7 Ways To Treat It!

If you are thinking that runner’s knee pain can ony happen to runners or sportsmen, then you are wrong. It can happen to anyone who spends time in doing things that involve bending the knees. It can happen due to activities like walking, biking and jumping. It refers to an aching pain around the kneecap. In medical terms, it is also called patellofemoral pain syndrome.

It doesn’t refer to a particular injury. It is an umbrella term to refer to any pain that happens during knee problems. Here are some of the reasons responsible for runner’s kneecap:

  1. High stress exercises, such as lunges or plyometrics
  2. Direct hit in the knee.
  3. If any of the bones are out of their correct position.
  4. Hypermobile feet and fallen arches or overpronation can cause joint pain as they change the way you walk.
  5. Weak or unbalanced thigh muscles.

What Are the Symptoms of runner's knee?

  1. You can feel the pain in front, behind, or around the kneecap
  2. Pain is felt when you walk, squat, kneel, run, or get up from a chair
  3. Pain is felt when you walk downstairs
  4. Swelling around your knee or a grinding feeling inside the joint

Diagnosis:
It can be diagnosed through physical examination and might require X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans.

What's the treatment for runner's knee?

  1. In most cases, runner’s knee gets better with time. However, the cause of the pain must be identified and then the treatment is done. Here’s what can be done:
  2. Give rest to your knees. It is best to avoid activities that cause the pain.
  3. Apply ice pack on the knees to ease the swelling. Repeat this after every 3 to 4 hours in a day and apply the pack for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Use an elastic bandage or straps to wrap the knees. It gives extra support to the knees and prevents the pain.
  5. Elevate the leg on a pillow at the time of lying down.
  6. Take pain killers like ibuprofen or naproxen.
  7. Indulge yourself in stretching exercises.

Get treated with Ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the Plantar Fascitis weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water Ask your father to apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. If still the pain persists then it is better to keep TENS stimulation at one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.
