Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them. --consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your back pain. Best wishes.

Hello, there are many reasons for this type of pain- 1. Overweight, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, or lack of water in the body, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. I can help you by teaching correct postural habits and ergonomics, do consult me privately. Till then follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and calcium rich diet like milk, paneer, buttermilk, cheese etc and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Bones does not grow Is it not? In such cases how the broken bone joins and make like a good non infected bone? Regards

bone cells multiply and this lays down new bone by a process of cell multiplication and then calcification of the matrix. when the bone breaks the cells in the broken ends multiply and forms a new bone called CALLUS which later matures to form the proper hard bone.

Haii Dr. I have problem of back pain if I stand more den 5min it starting back pain to me n my weight is so heavy.
Your heavy weight is the real culprit. All the pressure of our weight is evenly distributed between Backbone and legs.If weight is more our back bone is under continuous stress and gets exhausted after sometimes and that is the reason for your back pain and what ever medicines you take it will help only to reduce pain for a while but you will have to seriously think of reducing your weight if you want a permanent solution.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back & neck pains. If you have localized neck and lower back pain with no other symptoms like radiating pain in limbs, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back & neck region while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and neck region and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards
