Benign tumors, which are noncancerous growth in the body, can form anywhere in the body. It develops when cells in the body divide and grow at an excessive rate. They don't spread to other parts of the body, however the condition can be serious if they press on vital structures such as nerves or blood vessels. The exact cause of a benign tumor is often unknown. Depending on location of the tumor, the symptoms are: a) discomfort and pain b) fatigue c) fever and chills d) loss of appetite and) weight loss f) night sweats

It is diagnosed by certain imaging tests. Some of the key tests include: Ultrasound, Computed tomography (CT) scan, X-ray, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
HOW IS BENIGN TUMORS TREATED?
For most cases, the benign tumour may not require any treatment. But the oncologist may suggest minor invasive surgery for removal of the tumour if it is in a location where the tumour may get pressed during motion of by other organs.
