Hi lybrate-user. For fitness good protein is required. First class protein like milk, egg, chicken and fish you can add in your diet. Take Pulses & legumes like rajma, beans, soybean, lentil at lunch or dinner. Take banana shake at breakfast. Avoid ready to eat food & fried item. Thanks.

Hi. Dear. Try Muscleblaze whey protein. It is good protein supplement. But only supplement is not helpful add egg, fish or chicken and milk also in your daily diet. For plant protein soybean, rajma is also good for you. Thanks.

Currently I'm weighing around 104 kgs, and the last month I checked it was 98 kg. So, I have heard of this KETO diet, and I looking for a full vegetarian keto diet plan. Hi. You need to reduce your weight through dietary modification. Yes you are right as we need to minimize carbohydrate in take in diet. Limit your Rice/ wheat intake. Stop potato, basan, maida in your diet. Add Green veg, Fresh fruits, Salads but no cream in your menu. Rajma or sprouts need to take for protein. Avoid junk food, sweets, fried food, salt.Try at least 45 min brisk walking any time in a day. Thanks.

Replace of biscuit you can add almond with your tea. Try rice flakes also. Sprouts is very good snacks for you. At evening you can take soup.

Hi dear. Your BMI (body mass index) is 42 which is very high and you are young but it may a serious issues on your health as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes in later life. So that you need to reduce your flab in an urgent basis. Avoid fried food, spicy & junk food, refine sugar contain food (maida, basan,) Potato, soda cold drinks, Banana. Take salad & Fibre contain food. Do brisk walk for 45 min. For diet chart you have to take consultation. Thanks.

Hi. Fresh fruit, green veg and complete protein like chicken or fish or egg need to add your diet daily. Pulses like rajma, lentil you need to add in diet. But cabbage, soybean need to take in a minimum amount. Milk or milk product need to take daily. Avoid junk food, fried food sweets. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user, Avoid Potato, Maida, Basan and ready to eat food. Oil & fat intake try to with in a limit. Add green vegetables and salads in your diet. Regular brisk walking for 40 min is needed. Include fresh fruits in diet your diet.

Dear lybrate-user. You need to concern on diet First as a tuberculosis patient need to take first class protein enriched diet like soybean, pulses, legumes, sprouts. Carbohydrate and fat intake should minimised as per diabetes on concern. Avoid junk - fast food, Cold drinks, Extra salt. Need to take fresh fruits and take meal in every three hours gap. Take B protein powder twice in a day with milk or warm water. Thanks.

Sir, Regarding the weight loose. I was 82 kgs when I was 50 but now running 54 n weight is about 72, sugar diabetes in border line, cholesterol seems little plus than the normal but it is in control, I can say. Exercises - use to walk minimum 10-15 minutes a day. So what could be the result of getting weight lost? Thank you for years quick response ahead.

Dear patient. You need some weight reduction diet & life style modification. Use chamomile tea (goodwyn) at morning with 2 biscuits. Breakfast must be heavy meal. Avoid sweets, fried food, junk food, salt. As you are diabetic do not be at fasting more than 3 hours. Take small amount of food at every 3 hours interval. Add fresh fruits, green vegetables in your diet. As your cholesterol border line do brisk walk for 30 min in a day at any time that will helpful for you. Do not use tobacco. Thanks.

Dear Patient.. Add good proteins in your diet.. like Milk and milk products, Egg, Chicken, Fish . Fresh vegetables and fruits add in your menu planing. You can take dry fruits like dates, walnut, almonds daily. Banana shake is good for you for weight gain. For muscle building take B Protein powder 2 scoop at bed time with milk or warm water Thanks..

Dear Venkatesh.. Chicken and meat contain Complete protein which is essential for human nutrition.We know that Protein is body builder which makes you muscular. Yes protein and fat plays important role for weight gain. According to Indian council of Medical Research (ICMR 2010) 1gm protein/kg body weight is recommended that means you need 59 gm dietary protein. Fish, Meat, Egg, Milk & Milk products are animal source of protein which gives you all essential amino acids but Legumes , Pulses are incomplete protein. Add Fish or chicken in your daily diet. Or you can add milk or milk product in your daily diet. Thanks..

Dear Patient Use overnight soaked fenugreek seed paste in your root of hair and use Baidyanath Mahavringaraj oil 3 times in a week.. avoid oily and spicy food, junk, fried foods. take green salad soup, sour curd (home made), sprouted bengal gram, fruits. adequate fluid intake is necessary. Thanks

Dear Shaunak I suggest you some modification in your diet plan. Add some natural antioxidants like green tea with sliced ginger (not at empty stomach), fresh fruits, green vegetables, egg, chicken breast, skinless fish, soybean in your daily diet. Do not skip breakfast, not at fasting more than 3 hours, take small amount of foods at regular interval. Take multivitamin A-Z GOLD at bed time daily. Do brisk walk for 30 min at any time in a day. Hey Abhishek relax....! Your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 18.6 which is good and 4 eggs at breakfast is not nutrition friendly. Add Milk and milk product, Chicken or Tuna fish or egg also as animal resource of protein and Soya bean or Legumes ( Peas/ Beans) pulses as plant source of protein in your daily diet. At breakfast Select Muesli or Corn flecks with milk, you can take 1 boiled egg daily.Dry Fruits are necessary like almond, dates, cashew, walnuts in your diet. Banana is also good for you. Do brisk walk for 30 min in a day at any time... That will help you much.. Regards..

Yes Dear.. For Protein enriched foods like.. Egg, Milk & Milk product, Fish, Chicken you can select. Soya bean is also good source of plant protein and all are first class protein. Dear Nirmal, Yes Vitamin C has great impact on skin. I suggest you intake Vitamin C enriched diet like Orange, Lemon, Indian gooseberry (Whole), Green salads. Dear Patient.. Your BMI ( Body mass index) is 31.65 which is high. Do not be upset dear you can reduce your body weight. First, veg or non veg are not responsible for weight gain and you are doing excellent that you are not smoker or drinker. I advice you some modification in your diet and life style.. Take green tea with slice of ginger but not at empty stomach.. Avoid sweets , fried food, salt, junk food, sea food, soft drinks. Use Rice bran oil 30 gm/day (1 tea spoon =5 gm). Add Green vegetables , Fresh fruits , Soya bean,Pulses, Skimmed milk. Take lemon with warm water at mid morning it reduce fat also. Do not skip Breakfast, it should be heavy meal. Do not be fasting more than 3 hours. When you consume food , take small amount at every 3 hours interval. That is helpful for weight management and diabetes. Sprouts is good snacks for you. Dinner should be light meal. you can add veg soup also. Do brisk walk for 1 hour in a day as per your suitable time, Kilometer is not important my friend... Many fat reducing medicine or powder are available in market. But it can manage through your diet and healthy life style... Regards..

Running vs Walking

While walking can provide many of the same health benefits associated with running, a growing body of research suggests running may be best for weight loss. Perhaps unsurprisingly, people expend 2.5 times more energy running than walking, whether that's on the track or treadmill. Translation: For a 160-pound person, running 8 mph would burn over 800 calories per hour, compared to about 300 calories walking at 3.5 mph.

And when equal amounts of energy were expended (meaning walkers spent more time exercising), one study found runners still lost more weight. In this study, not only did the runners begin with lower weights than the walkers; they also had a better chance of maintaining their BMI and waist circumference.

Plus, running may regulate appetite hormones better than walking. In another study, after running or walking, participants were invited to a buffet, where walkers consumed about 50 calories more than they had burned and runners ate almost 200 calories fewer than they'd burned.Researchers think this may have to do with runners' increased levels of the hormone peptide YY, which may suppress appetite.

But aside from weight loss, walking has definite pros.Researchers looked at data from the National Runners Health Study and the National Walkers.Health Study and found that people who expended the same amount of calories saw many of the same health benefits. Regardless of whether they were walking or running, individuals saw a reduced risk of hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, and improved better cardiovascular health.

And running does have downsides: It puts more stress on the body and increases the risk for injuries, like runner's knee, hamstring strains,shin splits (which plague even the most consistent runners).
