Though coughing may appear to be a simple issue, it is very harassing and can lead to various severe problems. Ayurveda has the power to alleviate the suffering to a considerable degree. The Pranavaha Srotas show how the “vata” that controls the respiratory systems in the body can be balanced with Ayurvedic means so that you are relieved.

Symptoms and their mistreatments
There are two types of cough, one with the phlegm that’s termed as wet cough and creates congestion, due to which you are unable to breathe. The other type of cough is the dry one, which hurts your throat and forms a pressure on the chest area while you cough. Well, whether dry or wet, a simple disease related to coughing is powerful enough to deprive you of your night’s sleep. If you are a patient of bronchitis or any other respiratory disease like sinus, then you are required to deal with the nagging problem of cough.

Ayurveda offers a great way of relieving cough.

  1. Gargles: Whenever you feel soreness around your neck, take a glassful of warm water and add a pinch of salt in it and start to gargle. The salt would help to drain out the excess fluids from the inflamed areas, thus, reducing the symptoms. It also helps in removing the mucus and thinning of the mucus. Gargling with salt should be avoided by patients suffering from hyper-tension. Such people can use simple warm water without salt.
  2. Take honey: It is not feasible to gargle anywhere and everywhere and in such cases, you can have a spoonful of honey as it is believed to soothe the irritation in the throat area. If you have a particular tendency to cough during the night time, then a glassful of warm milk with some honey can relieve your suffering. Diabetic patients should avoid honey.
  3. Turmeric remedies: A traditional Indian remedy to alleviate soreness of the throat region is to drink hot milk mixed with honey. You may even opt for turmeric gargles where you will have to mix half teaspoon of turmeric along with the same quantity of table salt in a glassful of lukewarm water and gargle with it. To get rid of dry cough, alternately, you can mix some turmeric powder in a spoonful of honey and take it thrice in a day.

Allopathic and synthetic medicines are generally loaded with numerous side-effects including nausea and drowsiness. In the worst case, it may lead to dependence and addiction as well. Thus, embracing Ayurveda can help you get out of the ailment permanently.

Limit your screen time staring at computers, TVs or phones in the evening before going to bed Do eye check-up. Also check if you are having any cervical spondylitis. Also take Belladonna 30 – for headache one dose when required. Yes it could be migraine. I suggest you do the test to rule out the same.

Hi. In EHPVO main symptoms are variceal bleed and hemetemesis (blood in vomiting), ascites (fluid in abdomen) and jaundice can occur subsequently. Treatment is check endoscopy to rule out esophageal and gastric varices. On the basis of symptoms you may require shunt surgery or later may be a liver transplant in case cirrhosis goes bad. please consult a gastroenterologist for the same. Thanks.

No, not at all advisable. Don't over exert. As there will be clotted veins if you lift more weights then your testicle will ache a lot and the condition becomes more intense. Even it is advised to use some scrotal support instead.

This sudden change in bowel habits can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection.

5. Personality changes - If you are experiencing deterioration in your thinking skills, have sudden behavior changes and face difficulty in focusing or shifting attention you might be suffering from some severe problem caused by an infection, mental health conditions, poor nutrition, and effect of certain medications.

The problem of morning back and neck pain may be due to the position of sleeping or it may be related to inflammatory arthritis which can be familial. Morning back pain is largely related to wrong sleeping posture and less commonly due to arthritic conditions like Ankylosing Spondylitis or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Whatever be the cause- this condition requires attention by an Orthopedic doctor as it may worsen in due course of time and should not be taken lightly. 

Some common factors causing this are: 

  1. Mattress: Too soft or too hard a mattress might induce back ache after sleep. For people with waist and hips of equal proportion, a firmer mattress would do well. For those with narrower waist than their hips, a flexible and softer mattress that can move with the pelvic weight would be a perfect choice. Refrain from using old hardened mattresses. 
  2. Pillow: The pillow you use must be able to render support to your neck naturally. Instead of using excessively firm or soft pillow, try substituting it with memory foam pillows, refillable water pillows or cervical support pillows. 
  3. Posture: Not changing your position while sleeping or sleeping on the belly exerts strain on the back muscles, causing pain. On the other hand, sleeping on the back or on the sides causes comparatively less strain on the spine. 
  4. Other causes such as strenuous workouts or physical activities or sitting at a stretch during the day might cause pain while sleeping or after getting up from bed. 

Remedies for Morning Back Pain: 

Fortunately, there are some home remedies to cure the morning back pain. 

  1. Switching your mattress is a more expensive remedy for back pain, but may often be the ultimate cure. Most people sleep the best on medium-firm mattresses. Be sure to try out the mattress before you buy it. 
  2. For occasional back pain after sleeping, apply heat to your back to relax your muscles before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning. 
  3. Massage your back with pain relieving creams and apply heat on it with a heating pad for quick relief. 
  4. Specific spinal stretching exercises and Planks (a type of exercise) can greatly help in easing back pain, if done on a regular basis. 
  5. It is always recommended to CONSULT an Orthopaedic doctor if you suffer from morning back pain.

kindly take indukantha kshayam, 2 tsf in half a glass of luke warm water before meals, twice a day. Take jayamangal rasa, 1 tab twice a day after meals with luke warm water. Take indukantha ghruta caps, 2 caps twice a day after meals with luke warm water. Make sure you stop curd, kari, chole, raajma, maah daal. Stop eating spicy food, fried food. Take daliya, khichdi for 5 days. Take night sleep for 7 to 8 hrs. Avoid physical and mental exertion. You will be normal by 5th day. good luck. continue the regime for 21 days. Take care, stay in touch. Take luke warm water, always.

Hello, Muscle cramps can be due to excessively contraction of muscles. There are few things you can do to avoid it. 1. Drink a glass full of water with a spoon of sugar and a pinch of salt half hour before going to bed. 2. Do some Hamstring, Quadriceps and other muscle stretches regularly, especially before bed 3. If you are using air conditioner avoid using it. 4. You can also start yourself on some calcium and multivitamin capsules.
