The surgery includes the total removal of fat from the breast of the affected individual, whereas exercises may only help in burning down a certain amount of fat from that region. Exercises can help keep the condition in check in the preliminary stages and to maintain the results after the procedure.

Since gynecomastia surgery is a direct approach for removing male breasts, the results can be seen just right after the procedure. Although the chest area will be kept bandaged to prevent any postoperative infection, the results are immediate. The process includes the removal of fat from the male breasts through the process of liposuction. After the surgery, follow the post op care instructions diligently.

Although the surgery is less invasive and involves very little damage to the chest area, it is not advisable to engage in strenuous activities at least for two weeks after the surgery. Also, in case of younger patients, a minimal amount of fat behind the nipples cannot be removed, and this is quite insignificant in the long run. Within at least two weeks the tissues re-adjust to their normal condition if any damage is not imposed on them. It is better to stay away from any exercises within the first two weeks to avoid any damage to the operated area and recover quickly.
