However, men are more likely to complete the act of suicide compared to a woman.

A person considering a chance of suicide often becomes isolated from the society. It is, therefore, very important to actively engage in communication with a person with suicidal thoughts. Little acts of kindness can go a long way in refraining a person from committing suicide. Instead of talking a person out of committing suicide, it becomes more effective to make a suicidal person understand that depression is temporary and completely treatable.
