I would say synovial thicvkening in sports athletes are very common especially in wrist which caused due to "over strenious work "this type of injury are very common in body builders, tennis players or any spoirts which involves maximum use of wrist. Synovial thickening is our body's response to friction caused due to inability to cope up with stress those tendons or ligaments going through.
