Medicine For Degenerative Joint Disease

I am 45 years old have nerve damage and degenerated disk, arthritis in knee have also fibromyalgia. I need to know what would be good to take my terrible pain away. I can't sleep for hurting. What medicine is the best for pain.

Lybrate-user There is a point in any painful disease like yours that continuing taking pills doesn't do an effective job. And there is no pill absolutely none that is safe beyond a year and half of use. All of them affect organs and can cause permanent damage. You probably need a surgical remedy and I would recommend seeing a surgeon for the same.

Back Pain: This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathologicalreasons for back pain. If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. Firstf all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. Physiotherapy treatment:Ift and swd can be done for localized pain.Ift and traction can be done if you have radiating pain. •Standing hamstring stretch: Place the heel of your injured leg on a stool about 15 inches high. Keep your knee straight. Lean forward, bending at the hips until you feel a mild stretch in the back of your thigh. Make sure you do not roll your shoulders and bend at the waist when doing this or you will stretch your lower back instead of your leg. Hold the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •Cat and camel: Get down on your hands and knees. Let your stomach sag, allowing your back to curve downward. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Then arch your back and hold for 5 seconds. Do 3 sets of 10. •Quadruped arm/leg raise: Get down on your hands and knees. Tighten your abdominal muscles to stiffen your spine. While keeping your abdominals tight, raise one arm and the opposite leg away from you. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Lower your arm and leg slowly and alternate sides. Do this 10 times on each side. •Pelvic tilt: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your abdominal muscles and push your lower back into the floor. Hold this position for 5 seconds, then relax. Do 3 sets of 10. •Partial curl: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your stomach muscles. Tuck your chin to your chest. With your hands stretched out in front of you, curl your upper body forward until your shoulders clear the floor. Hold this position for 3 seconds. Don't hold your breath. It helps to breathe out as you lift your shoulders up. Relax. Repeat 10 times. Build to 3 sets of 10. To challenge yourself, clasp your hands behind your head and keep your elbows out to the side. •Gluteal stretch: Lying on your back with both knees bent, rest the ankle of one leg over the knee of your other leg. Grasp the thigh of the bottom leg and pull that knee toward your chest. You will feel a stretch along the buttocks and possibly along the outside of your hip on the top leg. Hold this for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •Extension exercise: Lie face down on the floor for 5 minutes. If this hurts too much, lie face down with a pillow under your stomach. This should relieve your leg or back pain. When you can lie on your stomach for 5 minutes without a pillow, then you can continue with the rest of this exercise.

I was regularly doing jogging/brisk walk of 6-8 KM every day. Three years back in January 2015 pain started in my both knees. I consulted an orthopedic, he told me that pain is because of excess strain on your knees & he gave me some pain killer & told me to stop jogging/brisk walk immediately & take rest for 3 months. I did as he told but there was no improvement. Then I visited another orthopedic, he also said the same thing. Now its more than 3 years & I am not doing jogging/brisk walk or any other physical activities. But still, my knees are paining. Some days back I had gone for MRI of both knees to know the actual problem. When I showed the report to the doctor he recommended me laparoscopic surgery. The problem found in left knee was: IMPRESSION: Early degenerative changes as focal chondromalacia femur, tiny osteophyte, a gynaecologist change posterior to the knee joint. Sprain anterior cruciate ligament Borderline patella alta Minimal joint effusion Degenerative medial meniscus. The problem found in Right Knee was: IMPRESSION: Early degenerative changes as tiny osteophyte and reduced joint space. Degenerative medial meniscus. Borderline patella alta. Now my questions are. 1 Can this problem solve with medicine or I have to go for surgery? 2 If the only solution is laparoscopic surgery Can all the problems cure by surgery? 3 My knees will become 100% perfect after this surgery & can I again start jogging /brisk walk after surgery? 4 What are the side effects of surgery? 5 For how long I have to be admitted to hospital & post surgery how long I have to take rest? Thanks.

I am having very severe knee pain problems on my right knee from the past many months, due to which I cannot walk much & also unable to stand for a longer period/duration due to such knee pain. The X-ray reports of my both the knee (as on dated 26.10.2016) says the under-mentioned three things: 1. Digitogram reveals mild OA changes noted involving both knee joints. 2. The patella-femoral compartments show early affection. 3. Joint spaces of the knees are normal. I had tried lots & lots of medicines from the past two years in order to reduce my severe knee (joint) pain problems, but all the medicines had totally/completely failed & none of them had really worked or had helped me or either reduced my severe knee pain problems. I had also gone to many best orthopaedics doctors (nearly six to seven) of Kolkata during these past two years but the medicines prescribed by all of them (i.e these orthopaedics doctors) had not really helped me, even in the least manner or to the least level. I have heard from lots of people that, the medicine named" Macvestin"is very good & extremely helpful in reducing severe & continuous knee (especially joint) knee pain problems. Should I start taking this" Macvestin"tablet/medicine. If yes, then which" Macvestin"tablet should I start with i.e either 500 mg or 1000 mg. Please advice. How many tablets should I consume within 24 hours i.e one tablet or two tablet - i.e within a day. Is this tablet is to be taken/consumed - after eating breakfast, lunch or dinner. Please advice/suggest my all these above-mentioned queries in detail - in my email id [email protected] krishnakumar. [email protected]"My mobile no. Is" 9674458740"& your goodself can make a call to my mobile no. On any day & at any time. KRISHNA KUMAR CHATURVEDI.

hello.... No need for surgery... In homeopathy there is treatment for degeneration of bones.... Joint pain can cripple movement along with the distress it causes. Osteoarthritis, in fact, is a degenerative disease of joints. The cartilage — a firm and flexible connective tissue in joints between the bones which holds the bones together and actsas a cushion between joints — gets degenerated. The cartilage prevents the bones from rubbing against each other by reducing the friction when any movement occurs at a joint. So, when the joint cartilage degenerates, the bones rub against each other during joint movement, leading to pain. The main risk factors that lead to Osteoarthritis are advanced age, overuse of joints, obesity and trauma. After the joint cartilage becomes soft, irregular, rough and thin, there is a growth of osteophytes at the margin of joints. These later get enlarged and calcified, resulting in reduction in joint space. As a result of reduced joint space, the bones rub against each other while movement. The pain that follows can be devastating. Osteoarthritis is mainly of the knee joint, hip joint and finger joints. The main symptoms are pain in joints during movement, stiffness of joints after a period of immobility, swelling and tenderness of the affected joint, formation of hard nodes mainly in finger joints, limitation of movement of joints, and wasting of muscles near affected joints. In advanced cases of Osteoarthritis, there is a distortion of joint contours that can lead to even deformity. Natural Homeopathic medicines are of great help for patients of Osteoarthritis, both for providing relief from pain and ensuring that this degenerative disease is stopped in its tracks. Natural Homeopathic treatment for Osteoarthritis Homeopathy has a wide range of natural remedies for Osteoarthritis. Made of natural substances with zero side effects,Homeopathy for osteoarthritis can be very beneficial in reducing the pain, swelling and stiffness of joints. In advanced cases of Osteoarthritis, although Homeopathic remedies cannot revert the degeneration that has already taken place in the cartilage of joints, these natural medicnes definitely help in slowing down the progress of cartilage degeneration. The natural Homeopathic remedies for osteoarthritis are completely safe and will always help, never harm, the patient. Take online consultation for medicine and other advice... Take care
