Hi doctor please I need your help. I am 18 years old andi have problems with anal bleeding .i am thinking about hemorrhoids but I fear colon cancer please help me!

If you feels bleeding sometimes, its ok it may be due to hard stool which tears anal wall or sometimes loose motions may lead to anal dark red bleeding. In colon cancer bleeding do persist with frequent motions with dark clotted blood. So just don't worry and go through a regular check from a qualified piles specialist doctor.

Hello Doctor, I am a 22-year-old male. I have no family history of any types of cancer. Around December last year, I had bright red blood on toilet water after a bowel movement. I was straining so hard during that bowel movement. The bleeding didn't happen again. However, I occasionally have soft and hard stools. I don't have any stomach pain. Just now, I had this weird stool shape. Stool shape happened already, maybe around 5 times. Worried it might be colon cancer? Kindly advice.

Dear lybrate-user ji, it may be due to internal haemorrhoids/piles. Piles (haemorrhoids) are swollen and inflamed blood vessels in the rectum and anus. Causes of piles: these include the following: -genetic predisposition (weak rectal veins, walls) -poor muscle tone in the rectal region -constipation, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, -chronic cough, -pregnancy -overuse of laxatives or enemas, -lifting heavy weights habitually. Homeopathic medicines are very effective in management of piles and the symptoms associated with it such as pain, bleeding, itching, etc. Moreover, the condition has high relapse rate following surgical treatment, since surgery does not target the root causes like genetic tendencies, habitual constipation, etc. Homeopathic medicines work at the root level and can modify these genetic tendencies thus reducing chances of relapse and recurrence of the condition significantly. I suggest you to take an appointment for consultation so that detail case can be discussed and rule out the cause and proceed further for treatment. You can consult online. Thank you.

I was moving a lot while living in my home country. Then I moved to America and I started gaining weight. I'm now in hawaii, have been in America for 3 years and I have kind of a sedentary life. I have been eating heavy for a while and I have always been sort of constipated, but recently I think hemorrhoids came out (never had before). They are the external ones. My poop was really hard for a couple of times and I felt some cuts, but when I looked I saw lumps hurting. I also have been bloating more. I'm trying now to change my diet, it has been 2 days since I have been drinking more, doing baths of 20 minutes, putting hemorrhoid cream, eating vegetable and fruit. I pooped twice, the first time it hurt a little and the second it hurt less, but both came out just one small weird shape poop, the size of dried prune, green/brownish color. I'm afraid it can be something more than just hemorrhoids, like colon cancer. No cramps or fatigue, I eat less but I get hungry.

Colon cancer do not take place at 24 years of age but yes the problems you are facing will lead to ulcerative colitis and then to ca colon. It's better to change your lifestyle now. Eat lots of fibre in diet and drink lots of water. Right now take luxative at night to relive constipation. Haemorrhoids need to be operated upon. Take some medicine for gastritis eat curd and bananas. Switch to white meat rather than red meat. Change of lifestyle will help you relive of all your symptoms and problems.
