Hi Mr. lybrate-user you are most probably having a post infectious respiratory tract inflammatory cough and or chronic sinusitis apart from these you might require some more medications post some investigations please let me know if further advice is required.

The problem can be solved only by proper clinical examination by ent specialist for allergy, defect in nostrils, tonsils etc. If necessary correction of defect like growth in nose, septal defect or infected tonsils is to be corrected. Avoid dryness of mouth by consuming by drinking water up to 8-10 glasses daily. No smoking. Antibiotics if advised should be taken in adequate dose for long duration. Early warm saltwater gargling daily night if mildest complaints.

Respiratory infections can be spread through droplets. Use mask while you having allergic rhinitis. Avoid exposure to allergens like dust pollens, fumes. Etc.
