How Diabetes Affects The Heart

Hi doctor. Before marriage any female gat a pcod problem. If got what is the reason of pcod.

Hi doctor.
Before marriage any female gat a pcod problem.
If got what is the reason of pcod.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels. Women with pcos produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant. Pcos also causes hair growth on the face and body, and baldness. And it can contribute to long-term health problems like diabetes and heart disease. Birth control pills and diabetes drugs may help fix the hormone imbalance and improve symptoms. There's no test to definitively diagnose pcos so far, we need to discuss your medical history, including your menstrual periods and weight changes. A physical exam will include checking for signs of excess hair growth, insulin resistance and acne.

Erectile dysfunction affects older men more than younger men. About 1% of men in their 40s, 17% of men in their 60s, and nearly 50% of men 75 or older aren't able to achieve an erection sufficient for intercourse. Sometimes erectile dysfunction develops gradually. One night it may take longer or require more stimulation to get an erection. Another time, an erection may not be as firm as usual, or it may end before orgasm. When such difficulties occur regularly, it's time to talk to a doctor. The culprit behind erectile dysfunction is often clogged arteries. In fact, in nearly one-third of men who see their doctors about trouble getting or keeping an erection, erectile dysfunction is the first hint that they have cardiovascular disease. Other possible causes of erectile dysfunction include medications and prostate surgery, as well as illnesses and accidents. Stress, relationship problems, or depression can also lead to it. Regardless of the cause, erectile dysfunction often can be effectively treated. For some men, simply losing weight may help. Others may need medications. If these steps aren’t effective, a number of other options, including injections and vacuum devices, are available. Given the variety of options, the possibility of finding the right solution is now greater than ever before. Tests for underlying conditions might include: physical exam. this might include careful examination of your penis and testicles and checking your nerves for sensation. Blood tests. a sample of your blood might be sent to a lab to check for signs of heart disease, diabetes, low testosterone levels and other health conditions. Urine tests (urinalysis). like blood tests, urine tests are used to look for signs of diabetes and other underlying health conditions. Ultrasound. this test is usually performed by a specialist in an office. It involves using a wandlike device (transducer) held over the blood vessels that supply the penis. It creates a video image to let your doctor see if you have blood flow problems. This test is sometimes done in combination with an injection of medications into the penis to stimulate blood flow and produce an erection. Psychological exam. your doctor might ask questions to screen for depression and other possible psychological causes of erectile dysfunction. Oral medications oral medications are a successful erectile dysfunction treatment for many men. They include: sildenafil (viagra) tadalafil (adcirca, cialis) vardenafil (levitra, staxyn) avanafil (stendra) all four medications enhance the effects of nitric oxide — a natural chemical your body produces that relaxes muscles in the penis. This increases blood flow and allows you to get an erection in response to sexual stimulation. Taking one of these tablets will not automatically produce an erection. Sexual stimulation is needed first to cause the release of nitric oxide from your penile nerves. These medications amplify that signal, allowing some men to function normally. Oral erectile dysfunction medications are not aphrodisiacs, will not cause excitement and are not needed in men who get normal erections. The medications vary in dosage, how long they work and side effects. Possible side effects include flushing, nasal congestion, headache, visual changes, backache and stomach upset. Your doctor will consider your particular situation to determine which medication might work best. These medications might not treat your erectile dysfunction immediately. You might need to work with your doctor to find the right medication and dosage for you. Before taking any medication for erectile dysfunction, including over-the-counter supplements and herbal remedies, get your doctor's ok. Medications for erectile dysfunction do not work in all men and might be less effective in certain conditions, such as after prostate surgery or if you have diabetes. Testosterone replacement. some men have erectile dysfunction that might be complicated by low levels of the hormone testosterone. In this case, testosterone replacement therapy might be recommended as the first step or given in combination with other therapies. Penis pumps. a penis pump (vacuum erection device) is a hollow tube with a hand-powered or battery-powered pump. The tube is placed over your penis, and then the pump is used to suck out the air inside the tube. This creates a vacuum that pulls blood into your penis. Once you get an erection, you slip a tension ring around the base of your penis to hold in the blood and keep it firm. You then remove the vacuum device. The erection typically lasts long enough for a couple to have sex. You remove the tension ring after intercourse. Psychological counseling if your erectile dysfunction is caused by stress, anxiety or depression — or the condition is creating stress and relationship tension — your doctor might suggest that you, or you and your partner, visit a psychologist or counselor. Alternative medicine before using any supplement, check with your doctor to make sure it's safe for you — especially if you have chronic health conditions. Some alternative products that claim to work for erectile dysfunction can be dangerous.

An elevated ggt level suggests that a condition or disease is damaging the liver but does not indicate specifically what. Elevated levels may be due to liver diseases, such as hepatitis or cirrhosis, but they may also be due to other conditions, such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, or pancreatitis follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit (eat whole fruit not juice), a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Take simple food like rice n dal in dinner. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. You need to keep your mind calm and approach the partner with a relaxed and happy mind. Practise meditation. Erectile dysfunction (ed) is a condition in which man has trouble in keeping or getting an erection. It is a common male sexual dysfunction. It becomes more common as you get older but it is not a part of aging. Mechanism of erection an erection starts in the brain. Physical and mental stimulation is required for an erection to begin. This stimulation causes nerves in the brain to send chemical messages to nerves which are present in the penis which results in the free flow of blood into the penis. This leads to high pressure in the penis which in turn traps the blood within both corpora cavernosa and then the penis expand. This causes the penis to sustain an erection. When the inflow of blood is stopped, then it opens outflow channels and then penis becomes soft. Then an erection is said to be reversed. Causes of erectile dysfunction erection is a complex process which involves hormones, brain, emotions, muscles, nerves and blood vessels. Problem with any one of these can lead to erectile dysfunction. Sometimes stress and mental health can also lead to erectile dysfunction. Combination of physical and psychological issues can lead to erectile dysfunction. Some medicines like antidepressants can also cause this and if you are taking any medication you have to discuss with your treating doctor to change or stop medicine if possible physical causes of ed •heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. •parkinson's disease, obesity, alcoholism, atherosclerosis. •use of tobacco, surgeries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord. •treatments for prostate cancer. Psychological issues of ed: depression, anxiety, stress and other mental health conditions are some of the psychological issues which causes erectile dysfunction. Symptoms of erectile dysfunction •trouble in getting erection •difficulty in keeping erection •reduced sexual desire to prevent erectile dysfunction by decreasing the chances of developing several diseases like diabetes, heart disease and hypertension, chances of developing erectile dysfunction can be decreased to some extent. By eating healthy diet, erectile dysfunction can be managed. By doing exercise daily and by avoiding smoking, risk for developing erectile dysfunction can be decreased. If you do not have any diseases it is only your mind that is preventing your erection. So you need to be calm and stop worrying about it and keep on doing normally home remedies for ed / sexual impotence chew two to three cloves of raw garlic daily. Regularly chewing two or three cloves of raw garlic helps treating sexual impotence. In addition, eating garlic bread prepared with whole grains helps in the production of healthy sperms. Take a white onion, peel it off, crush and then fry in butter. This mixture can be taken daily with a spoon of honey, but make sure to consume this mixture when your stomach has been empty for at least two hours. This remedy helps to treat premature ejaculation, impotence and involuntary loss of semen during sleep or other times (known as night fall or spermatorrhea). Also, dip thee powder of black gram in onion juice for seven days and then dry the mixture. This mixture is a strong aphrodisiac and can be taken daily for improving sexual performance. Take 150 gm of carrots, finely chopped with a half-boiled egg and a tablespoon of honey. Take this mixture, once daily for a month or two people who are usually tense and suffer from sexual disorders can find relief as this home remedy increases sexual stamina. Lady's finger are considered a remarkable tonic for improving sexual vigor: take 5 to 10 grams of the root powder of this vegetable with a glass of milk and two teaspoons of ground mishri (candy sugar) daily. Regular use of this recipe helps in restoration of sexual vigour. Sexual impotence treatment using asparagus the dried roots of asparagus (or white musli) are used in unani medicine as an aphrodisiac: take 15 grams of the dried roots of asparagus and boil it with one cup of milk. Sexual impotence treatment using drumstick drumstick is very useful as a sexual tonic in the treatment of sexual debility and functional sterility in both males and females. Psoriatic arthritis, taking homoeopathic treatment, not that effective kindly suggest me some treatment for stiffness in fingers, check the medicine also. Please suggest me something for that.

Psoriatic arthritis (psa), can affect both the inside and outside of your body. The main goal of psoriatic arthritis treatment is to control the inflammation that causes your joints to swell and ache. That will ease your pain and help prevent further damage. Light therapy exposing your skin to ultraviolet (uv) light can help get rid of psoriasis skin plaques. But because uv light can damage skin and possibly lead to skin cancer, it’s important to get light therapy only with a doctor’s ok. Different types include: narrowband uvb phototherapy. You’ll probably get it at a clinic to begin with, especially if you have widespread disease. You’ll cover your eyes and genitals, and the rest of you will be exposed to the light for a few seconds to a few minutes. You’ll probably go about three times a week for 3 months. If you respond well, and your insurance covers the cost, you can get a smaller home unit. It can be a good option if you need weekly treatments to keep you in remission. You’ll still be under a doctor’s supervision. Excimer laser. This uses narrowband uvb to treat smaller areas, like psoriasis on your scalp. You’ll get 20-25 treatments over 2-3 weeks and should see results after a month or so. Puva. This combines uva rays with a pill called psoralen, which makes your skin more sensitive to light. You can’t get this treatment long, though, because uva rays are more damaging than uvb. You’ll get 20-25 treatments over a 2- to 3-week period. You should see results after about a month. Exercise: when your joints are sore, you may not want to move. But doing so can: keep your joints and tendons loose keep the inflammation that comes with this disease in check lessen the workload on your joints lower your risk of other conditions that come with psa, like heart disease, diabetes, and crohn’s disease walking, biking, and swimming are all good options. Get to, and stay at, a healthy weight. Almost half the people with psa are overweight. Studies show that losing just 10% of your body weight can improve your response to medications for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Manage your stress. Things that make you worry can also make your psa worse. Exercise, medication, and talk therapy can all help. Rest. Give an achy joint a break. You can go back to what you were doing when you feel better. Don’t drink. Mixing some psa medications with alcohol can lead to liver damage. Your doctor can let you know if you should quit. Massage: it can help stretch your muscles and joints, promote circulation in your lymph system, and help you relax.

It may be radiculopathy, also commonly referred to as pinched nerve, refers to a set of conditions in which one or more nerves are affected and do not work properly (a neuropathy). This can result in pain (radicular pain), weakness, numbness, or difficulty controlling specific muscles.[1] in a radiculopathy, the problem occurs at or near the root of the nerve, shortly after its exit from the spinal cord. However, the pain or other symptoms often radiate to the part of the body served by that nerve. For example, a nerve root impingement in the neck can produce pain and weakness in the forearm. Likewise, an impingement in the lower back or lumbar-sacral spine can be manifested with symptoms in the foot. The radicular pain that results from a radiculopathy should not be confused with referred pain, which is different both in mechanism and clinical features. Kindly refer a orthopaedician and go for nearby physiotherapy treatment.

Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it. What is hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder which produces a lot of unhappiness. An estimated 2-3% of people suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis). Underarm problems tend to start in late adolescence, while palm and sole sweating often begins earlier, around the age 13 (on the average). Untreated, these problems may continue throughout life. Sweating is embarrassing, it stains clothes, ruins personal contact, and complicates business and social interactions. Severe cases can have serious practical consequences as well, making it hard for people who suffer from it to hold a pen, grip a car steering wheel, or shake hands. Causes of hyperhidrosis:- although neurologic, endocrine, infectious, and other systemic diseases can sometimes cause hyperhidrosis, most cases occur in people who are otherwise healthy. Heat and emotions may trigger hyperhidrosis in some, but many who suffer from hyperhidrosis sweat nearly all their waking hours, regardless of their mood or the weather. Antiperspirants this may be the first treatment that a dermatologist recommends. It is affordable. When applied as directed, an antiperspirant can be effective. Your dermatologist may recommend a regular or clinical-strength antiperspirant. Some patients need a stronger antiperspirant and receive a prescription for one. Iontophoresis (the no-sweat machine) if excessive sweating affects your hands, feet, or both areas, this may be an option. You will use this treatment at home. It requires you to immerse your hands or feet in a shallow pan of tap water. As you do this, a medical device sends a low-voltage current through the water. Many people obtain relief. Some people dislike that this treatment can be time-consuming. Uses: hands and feet it works by the electric current shuts down the treated sweat glands temporarily. Side effects: some people develop: •dry skin •irritated skin •discomfort during treatment prescription medicine some patients receive a prescription for a medicine that temporarily prevents them from sweating. These medicines work throughout the body. However we cannot prescribe in open question answer session as a rule but you can ask in consultation. These medicines prevent the sweat glands from working. Athletes, people who work in a hot place, and anyone who lives in a warm climate should use extreme caution when using this treatment. The body may not be able to cool itself. Uses: these medicines can effectively treat sweating that involves entire body. This medicine also can be an effective treatment for post-menopausal women who sweat excessively only from their head. Side effects: the medicines that prevent the sweat glands from working can cause: •dry mouth •dry eyes •blurry vision •heart palpations (abnormal heartbeat) surgery if other treatments fail to bring relief, surgery may be considered. Surgery is permanent and carries risks. The following surgeries can stop excessive sweating: •surgically remove sweat glands •sympathectomy a dermatologist can surgically remove sweat glands from the underarms. This surgery can be performed in a dermatologist’s office. Only the area to be treated is numbed, so the patient remains awake during the surgery. A dermatologist may use one or more of the following surgical techniques to remove sweat glands from the underarms: •excision (cut out sweat glands) •liposuction (remove with suction) •curettage (scrape out) •laser surgery (vaporize) sympathectomy is another surgery used to treat hyperhidrosis. This is major surgery, which a surgeon performs in an operating room. During sympathectomy, the surgeon tries to stop the nerve signals that your body sends to the sweat glands. To do this, the surgeon will cut or destroy certain nerves. To find these nerves, the surgeon inserts a mini surgical camera into the patient’s chest just beneath the underarm. The patient’s lung must be temporarily collapsed so that the surgeon can cut or destroy nerves. Uses: •surgical removal of sweat glands is used to treat the underarms •sympathectomy is mainly used to treat the palms.
