I suffer from receding gums after my first child birth. Within a span of four years after my pregnancy I have gone through one root canal and five fillings inspite of taking the best care for my teeth. Before my pregnancy, the first 26 years of my life I did not have a single cavity but now my teeth seem to spoil rapidly. Am worried.

Hi. Visit your dentist once in 6 months without fail. Try to take vitamin c and calcium rich food in your regular diet which will improve your overall dental health. Don't worry about this. Sometimes it usually happens during pregnancy.

Gingivitis is common during pregnancy. But after delivery symptoms not gets reduce then go for teeth or root scaling.& go for check up every 6 month.

Hello lybrate-user, Do not worry. Hormonal variation during pregnancy would have lead to some changes in your gums and mouth. Do oil pulling using pure coconut oil regularly this will help you a lot. Follow a proper brushing technique. While brushing clean your tongue, area inside your cheeks. Don't forget to massage your gums.
