I'm loosing my hair from past 7 yrs. Only my maternal grand father had baldness. My became thinned, scalp is visible only under the lights. Crown and frontal top became thinned. No M shape formed. I don't have any disease or I'm not in any medication. I'm moving different places for every year. Please what tell me the type of hair loss I was going through (androgenic or male pattern or etc, etc). Does applying onion juice helps me in regrowing my lost hair back?

Hello dear, Androgenetic alopecia is also known as Male pattern baldness, it usually follows a pattern of receding hairline & is related to genetic makeup and male sex hormones. Management includes: 1. Minoxidil preparation to be applied directly to the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles. 2. Finasteride preparations that interferes with the production of male hormone linked to baldness. But these medications have to be used regularly under the guidance of a Dermatologist. As hair loss tends to return on stoppage of these medications. Those cases which do not respond to medical therapy, are managed by hair transplantation. So.
