Dear lybrateuser, - A corn usually develops because of ill fitting socks & shoes which create friction between the foot & the shoe - check your shoes or footwear, it should fit properly & should not have problem while walking - dip your foot in warm water to soften the skin, use pumice stone to scrape the hard skin over the corn & thereafter apply a moisturiser cream to soften the area, take a pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more, can also apply a corn cap while walking - the corn should go away by the above measures & by correcting the footwear.

Get it removed surgically.
