Hi sir my mom age-48 weight-90 she says that her right hand often pains a lot daily the pain is heavy she even can not sleep well or do work with the pain night time pain is more what is this problem what tablet to take she is a diabetic patient and taking glycomet-500 mg but from few months not taken the tablet the pain is more from right shoulder back to full hand the pain occurs with hand fall asleep (no feelings for some seconds then hand starts paining continuously often this happens) �give some solution thanks a lot.

Dear lybrate-user, First of all since she is diabetic, she would have shoulder problem. 90% of the patients with diabetes have the shoulder stiffness problem. First and foremost she needs to continue the medicines after her sugar tests with the opinion of her Diabetalogist. Further she is advised to meet a Physiotherapist for a course of Physiotherapy and shoulder exercise regimen. Please give her hot water fomentation twice daily and mandatory before going to sleep at night. Hope this should give some ease for the said problem.
