M an IIT aspirant. To invest more time in study I divided by sleep hrs be like 4 at night and 4 in afternoon but still feels a bit sleepy at mornings. Is m lacking sleep by doing this? How can solve this feeling sleepy issue? Please suggest an ideal and working way sir/mam.

6 hours continue and deep sleep is necessary for brain,you should sleep less in afternoon (2 hours).It is best to study in morning time(from 4 am),but for this routine u should sleep till 10/11pm.if u r habitual for late night studies then u should sleep before 2 am.take light food in night.take more fruits,vegetables,juices,almonds in your daily diet.Shankhpuspi syrup is also a good brain tonic for students.

A dear Lybrate user, Better if you change your wrong manner lifestyle to live healthily. Sleep earlier in night time 10-11 pm take the 6 hrs sound sleep. Wake up early in morning in do 30 mins regular Yoga exercise session and afterwards do your regular activity. At noon time avoid to sleep 3-4 hrs, you can take 20-30 mins span. Most important are doing study with concentration either is it 4-5 hrs it's enough.
