Sir 3 years back in 2014 I got a little inflammation on my arm due to a strong hit by a rod (not any bleeding and external /internal damage. Don't even have any pain in this injured area, but unfortunately even today the area has remained swollen. And now I am really worried that this may lead to any kind of tumour. PLEASE HELP ME OUT. So that I can get back to normal position. I can send you photos of affected arm if it is needed.

Hello, Continued swelling after 3 years of injury is very uncommon. However even if a haematoma (blood collection after injury) has formed and now is replaced by fibrous tissue, it is not dangerous. Formation of tumour from such tissues is extremely extremely rare. So you can be rest assured that no tumour will form it. However to be sure about the status of the swelling you need to see an orthopaedic surgeon and get an MRI done. Do get back if have more queries. For now, stop worrying unnecessarily and relax. Cheers.
