Hi Dr please tell me any relation between marriage and physical and mental well being. I mean to say that if any person get married a little late as in a girl not even till 32. Would that be affect that person physically mentality or emotionally d most. please tell me I am very depressed. & I feel so alienated and lonely etc & I can't even discuss or share any such thing with anyone and nobody can help me in this regard I know.

I cant figure out exactly what u want to know. You can get married at any age. The happiness lies not in the institution of marriage, but the compatibility of partners in understanding each other and engaging in a healthy physical and mental relationship for mutual well being. When 1 partner or both have adjustment problems, personality disorder or alcohol/ substance abuse or major mental disorder or sexual dysfunction, problems occur in the relationship and instead of marriage being happy, ends u being sore and makes the person generalize that marriage is bad, while in fact the problems lies with the partner(s). Marrying too early just for physical attraction or immature emotional attraction also leads to more problems as in Indian context personality becomes fully formed at around 24 years of age only. Being 31 I guess u can get married, but select a compatible partner, if u cant decide u can go for pre-marital counselling too. All the best
