Hi Jahangeer, Thanks for your question! Yes, it is good to have water on an empty stomach early in the morning. Usually if he's breast fed, it's time to start weaning. Usually the standard recommendation is exclusive breast feeding for the first 6 months. In any case, whether breast fed or formula fed, weaning foods can be introduced , porridge made with ragi, rice, wheat , cow's milk, dal water, mashed vegetables can be slowly introduced.
