Once hypothyroidism is in check then you can take appropriate diet and exercises to reduce weight. Since you have joined a gym, it will be possible for you to loose weight. Target for loosing about 2 kgs a month. Reduce your food intake by about 20%, but do not cut down exercising. If you feel hungry then take green salads, clear soups, dilute butter milk etc which are without any calories. Keep checking tsh, t3, t4 levels every 8 weeks to adjust the dosage of thyroxine.
