I am 41, working mother. Suffer from hypothyroidism and on medicine for that. My problem is with my faltering memory at present but around 4/5 years back, I was quite happy with my power to remember vivid details of almost everything! I forget recent events mainly. What should I do?

Hello, If you are on thyroxine tablets with adequate dosage and if TSH is in the range of 3 to 4 mU/L, then all the symptoms related to hypothyroidism are in check. Secondly please do not keep thinking that your memory has gone down, because thinking repeatedly like that it self gives negative signals to your brain. Instead say you have good memory and you do remember everything very well. Hypothyroidism if badly controlled may cause such problems. Thanks.
