I went to a job interview for a teaching post and cleared the first stage of the interview. In the second stage they took a written test and asked me to prepare flashcards or teaching aids on the spot. My mind didn't work and I did poorly. Other candidates came up with very creative ideas. This was one organisation that I really wanted to work in but I lost the opportunity. Earlier I have been working in small organisations but I want to take my career a step forward. But my colleagues tell me that the workload is too much in big organisations. So I am confused, should I apply to big organisations? How do I deal with the disappointment of not getting through the recruitment process of big organisations?

The sound of 'big' and trying to get into something greater than where you are can be quite intimidating. In your case it has actually caused that influence to make you collapse under the pressure. Workloads do increase in the bigger organizations because they are more into organizational procedures and have some tight systems in place. This should not intimidate you anyway. so keep aspiring for growth in your profession. If others can do it, you can do it too. With regard to undue fear, you can meet with a counselor and get some help. Any which way, you must do regular exercise, eat well, sleep soundly, and be emotionally balanced all the time.
