My son is not gaining weight from last 6 months he is not eating enough daily. He is not taking milk. His weight is 10 kg only. 2 years. Please advise us .He is active only he plays all the day and sleep 3 hours in day and 10 hours night. He is going motion after his meals. Is anything going wrong.

Hi, After 2 years the kids weight gain will be in a slow phase. Give him healthy 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks, 3 times milk in a day. Indulge him in more physical activity, which will help in increasing his appetite. If he is not falling sick often and if he has a good immunity, He is health do not worry. Ask for his preferences too, let the meal be colourful with different vegetables. Give some finger foods which he can eat by himself. Building the right eating habit at this age is more important and thats in your hand. All the best.

Probably he is having irritable bowel disease due to malabsorption of wheat protein, try diet without wheat and wheat products, bakery products and dalda, rawa,wheat chapatis and milk products etc. Try rice based bland diet with low fiber vegetables and soups. He needs to take omega-3 i.e.sea cod capsules may be tried.

U should give him more hygienic care. Give him water after boiling .nothing to worry it may be due to teething process also, add a pinch of black pepper powder in his meal. Pomegranate juice is also good.
