lybrate-user, If your TSH is very well controlled (3 to 4 mU/L) then occasionally taking peanuts is fine. You can take egg white, dairy products, as a substitute. Other pulses are a comparatively good source of proteins. Most important is to avoid soy beans and soy containing products. Others are not such a problem. Thanks.
