My father got prostate operation hole/turp on 14 Dec 16, and catheter removed on 20 Dec 16, after that he is getting urine with in half an hour to one hour, how many days it will take to cure this problem. Whether should he eat everything? In the night times if he takes less water than also he is going to urine for 5 times, he is 72 years old, pls suggest me what to do.

He should, however, continue to stay well hydrated as it shall help flush out and keep the urinary tract clean. Should he still continue to have frequent urination beyond the first 4 to 6 weeks post TURP surgery, you should consult your urologist for a clinical evaluation, and proceed as advised. Please Keep urine pot near him, if he is unable to go to bathroom again and again Give him plenty of water daily Give vegetables juices, soups fruits, fruits juice more Avoid fish, brinjals, curd etc It will take approximately 3 to 4 wks more to be stable.
