Hello lybrate-user, As your surgical extraction is done day before yesterday I would suggest you to eat soft food which should be cold and non-spicy. Do not consume anything that is hot or even warm for that matter. It might be painful. N for your pain while opening the jaw will subside in a week or two. Please have the prescribed dose of medication. And the sutures will take 7 to 8 days to dry. I hope this information is helpful to you Regards

It may take 7 days to 10 days for suture removal. You may feel during jaw movements for next 5-7 days .you should try to open and close your mouth gentely at regular intervals and rinses with warm saline water. Your diet should be soft and maintain proper oral hygiene in order to avoid secondry infection.

Hello lybrate-user, pain and discomfort after surgical removal of wisdom tooth is a common finding. Normally the pain & swelling start subsiding after 48 hrs. However complete healing may take 7-10 days. Sutures if non-resorbable are removed after 5-7 days. Take soft semi-solid diet for the time being. Take your medicines as prescribed. Take good care of your oral hygiene by regular brushing & rinsing. Hope this helps, get well soon.
