Hi Diabetic meal can be explained in two terms. 1. How much to eat: Eat small meals every 2-3 hours 2. What kind of food to eat: low in calorie, low in sugar and refined carbohydrate, high in protein, lots of fibre with plenty of fresh vegetables and greens. Do not eat fruits with your major meals like breakfast, lunch or dinner but snack your fruit. 3. Drink plenty of water. Regarding quantity: Generally all type 2 diabetics are put on a 1500- 1800 calorie diet per day depending on their age, sex, lifestyle, activity, height and weight to help in weight loss and maintaining an ideal body weight.
