Will a person with Type 2 diabetes under control end up with the need for insulin?

Hi Type 2 Diabetes is a progressive disease. So over a period of time treatment plans change from one oral medicine to two and then three to keep the HbA1C within the target. Once multiple oral medications do not help in managing diabetes insulin has to be started, As most of the insulin producing cells in pancreas are gradually lost by then.
