If it's a small cavity it will not pain spontaneously but you have mentioned you got pain so your decay may be deep but your doctor will do either filling if your decay is not deep or the initial step in root canal treatment if the decay has reached your pulp tomorrow and you will be under medication so that you won't have pain during exams. Good luck.

Doctor will take an x ray to decide how deep the cavity is. If required a root canal treatment is done. Small cavities are only filled. Do not worry. If the doctor is good you will have no pain or discomfort.
