Is anxiety disorder following panic attack common in post viral asthenia? I am taking psychiatric medicines after thrombocytopenia following a viral infection for last 6 years intermittently.

Dear Bhargav, Yes. Viral infection causes thrombocyto penia and asthenia. It will NOT go on for 6 years. Most viral infections are self limiting, meaning it will go away by itself and never come back. It looks, that your asthenia is due to a bipolar disorder. It might have been precipitated by a viral infection. Please remember that Lithosun has to be taken continuously even if you are well, to prevent future asthenia (depressed mood)
