I got lower back pain and mange it with applying some herbal oils or pain balms. Still doing Surya namaskar. Is there a way to get it under control so that my yoga practice is not affected.

For that you need to understand what is wrong with the pain site is there a degenerative changes or a inflammatory response or something wrong with you yoga practice. So first stop you practice for 3 to 4 day and note the intensity of pain if its reduce significantly it might be because of some wrong yogasana your doing. If not do x day or MRI and consult you physician. For now do back stretching, hot pack and rest.
