Sir I have facing stool problems from 2 to 3 years my bowel habits is not good in morning I am face to much problems in stool some time stool become hard sometime soft and sometime watery I am tried so many medicine for cure but nothing happen 5 months ago I did my ogd scopy and I face mild antral gastritis so doctor give me pantosec dsr for 6 months feel relaxed from 2 3 months and now motion problem back again what should I do now.

Hi. Thanku for writing into Lybrate. Constipation is passage of small amounts of hard, dry bowel movements, usually fewer than three times a week. People who are constipated may find it difficult and painful to have a bowel movement. Other symptoms of constipation include 1.feeling bloated, uncomfortable, and sluggish. 2.Abdominal pain 3.Vomiting 4.Trouble having a bowel movement (straining) 5.Lower back pain and sometimes calf muscle pain. Common causes:- 1.Not enough fiber in diet 2.Not enough liquids 3.Lack of exercise 4.Medications 5.Irritable bowel syndrome 6.Changes in life or routine such as pregnancy, older age, and travel 7.Abuse of laxatives 8.Ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement 9.Problems with the colon and rectum. Treatment:- As Per ayurveda we take constipation as malabaddata, treatment depends on the cause, severity, and duration, in most cases dietary and lifestyle changes will help relieve symptoms and help prevent constipation. Tips:- 1.Eat a well-balanced diet with plenty of fiber. Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables. 2.Avoid caffine, it can be dehydrating. 3.Exercise regularly. 4.Other changes that can help treat and prevent constipation include drinking warm water. 5.the urge to have a bowel movement should not be ignored. 6.If needed, use ver mild stool softner like Eranda sukumara-2tsp with warm water at bedtime. 7.Do Not use laxatives for more than 2 weeks without Physician concern.
