I am 40 years old and a sugar addict! I cannot do without it! Should I give it up once and for all or slowly and gradually let it go? Thank you very much doctor.

Hello, excessive consumption of sugar may lead you to diabeties, if proper exercise is missing. If you are a diabetic, you should immediately quit sugar or other wise it should be monitored, within the normal, limit. You should remain active to be remain non-dieabitic ,please. Tk care.

You should give it up completely in one go. Else its very difficult to give up gradually. You can try to substitute following things when you have the craving for sweets # Cashews # Almonds # Sounf # Glass of Water # 5 minutes walk.
