Hello Mr. lybrate-user, for a normal person i.e. A person without any significant abnormality in the knee joint, regular exercise is good. In fact I can say that by regular exercise your knees are better than not doing exercise. So go ahead and do your tredmill or any means of exercise.

The reason is that its a kind of passive exercise and we never nurture our joints with oil prior or after Tread mill...Do apply warm Sesame oil to whole body (possibly joints atleast) called Abhyang in Ayurved followed by warm water bath..This Abhyang not only is good for joints but also for skin and prevents early ageing...As u know that Skin is d largest organ of d body...sadly though v we minimally use skin as a drug delivery route...
