My grandfather- 83 fell down a few days back. Today his x ray reports confirmed a crack in his femur. He is very active and would walk for 5 hours a day. He has been advised complete bed rest for 8 weeks. What should be done now? Should not he wear a brace or plaster to aid healing?

Hello dear if he have crack near Head or neck of femur he advised to do a surgery for hip replacement of neck of femur. And if he have crack on shaft of femur he suggested to operate with a rod or a plaster he have to use brace or do plaster over there. After these he can able to walk with Walker then stick and finally with out any support but now follow the striations of the following doctor. Thanks and regards Dr.
