Mr. lybrate-user your Diabetes melliteus is a chronic condition and you cannot stop medicine in acute disease like fever if you have relief of it. Chronic diseases are due to multipe causes like lifestyle, emotional and other causes. You need to consult a Diabetologist to make changes in your medication whether to taper or maintain with a low dose.
