My wife aged 37 years is suffering from ankle pain since last 2 months, the pain aggravates after she gets up after sitting for long, soaking in hot water gave her temporary relief. She has thyroid and taking thyronorm 75. Please advice.

Hello! Get a Xray done of the painful ankle first. There are many reasons for ankle pain. In general cases, it could be because of weight of the patient, prolonged standing ,weak joint or muscle weakness. Take the Xray report to a Physiotherapist and start with the relative treatment. Medications will give you just temporary relief and so, better to avoid frequent use of them. Choose a footwear which is soft and v comfortable in wearing. A heel sole will provide good relief. Avoid prolonged standing and prolonged walking.
