I was diagnosed with pcos few daya back and due date of my last menses was 11th october which havnt occurred till now. Small pimples were all over my face. 1 years back I was given accutane tab, deriva bpo gel, clindamycin, acnemoist and a face wash for treatment. I continued to apply clindamycin or deriva whenever I get pimples. The day before yesterday I went to sleep after applying deriva bpo gel and in the morning I found severe redness of the skin. Will I continue with deriva bpo or will I stop it?

Deriva- BPO is a good anti acne cream. All anti - acne topical medications can lead to dryness, redness and itching, especially during initial days. All you need to do is stop the application on medication application for 4-5 days, apply a bland moisturizer and return to the medication when erythema resolves. Discuss with your treating dermatologist He will provide you with the best advice in this conditon.
