Doctor I have query regarding hiv transmission. I want to let you know that I have never had sex, neither done iv drugs or got any blood donations. But i'm concerned about one specific case 1. Around 2 months back couple of us friends were having drinks together. Since we did not have opener with us, one of the friend opened the bottles with his teeth. I want to add that I did not share my drink with him. He just opened the bottle for me and I drank alone from it. Now in this case I do not know if he is hiv positive neither I know if he was bleeding when he opened the bottle with his teeth and not sure of I had any cuts in my mouth. But can this be a way of hiv transmission?

HIV can never be transmitted even if you swallow the HIV positive blood. Rest assured.
