I exercise daily and have good appetite and always eat healthy no junk food or cloa .i do not eat unhealthy refined white floor. I have issue that whenever I eat something withing 5-10 mins I fart (gas) it is frequent. Whenever I eat something .i want to know is it a problem or the food gets digested then it happens kindly advise. What to do.

You might be suffering from gastritis/GERD/food intolerance. Here are some tips that can help you: 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only. In between balanced main meals, have healthy snacks like- whole fruits, coconut water, soup, stew, dhokla, buttermilk, green tea, roasted chana, makhana. 2. Take 15 mins light walk post main meals 3. Exercise daily for 1/2- 1 hr 4. Be active-take stairs instead of lift/escalator, walk instead of hiring transport 5. Have saunf soaked water daily 6. Chew ajwain post main meals 7. Drink 3 litres water daily (not with or just after a meal as it causes bloating) 8. Replace milk with curd. 9. Avoid gas formers like- cauliflower, cabbage, brocolli, chana, chola, rajma, radish 10. Check out for wheat/lactose intolerance if symptoms still persist.

Hi lybrate-user Gas formation is normal if it is slight. If the gas passage is more than normal like after every meal and is smelly then the food is not digested properly and it is not normal. You should chew your food atleast 32 times each bite and do not drink water immediately after a meal. Give a gap of atleast 1 hr. If gas still persists take homoeopathic medicine for it.
