Hello, Abdominal crunches should be increased gradually with due course of time to avoid muscle fatigue. Cramp and pain denotes that either you have over exhausted your abdominal muscles or doing exercise in a wrong manner. And yes it can affect and make your menstrual cramps worse. Go seek a help of any professional instructor.

Muscular pain is normal after starting a new exercise. it will subside as your body gets used to it in a couple of days. regular exercise will reduce menstrual cramps.
