Govt is promoting IME-9 tablets for diabetics. Is this drug a complementary to drugs like Metformin etc. Can it be consumed simultaneously with other allopathic drugs. Can it cause hypoglycemia.

Mr. lybrate-user, I too have heard and seen the TV advertisement on IME - 9. That can probably be taken as an additional supportive treatment than only drug. I do not think it causes hypoglycemia. One of the patient had written here on this site that he had stopped all modern drugs on the advise of an ayurvedic doctor and was taking only IME - 9 and after 20 days his blood glucose shot up to fasting around 350 and PP 450 mg plus. So I really do not know whether there is any real benefit. Thanks.
