I am 53 years old .one time my blood sugar was 230 at night (i've eaten sweets and so much things made of sugar) next day I found it was 95 after 6 hours of taking meals. I will have the HbA1c test. If I find the results positive then will I have to completely rely on medicines all the time or it will be controlled by eating proper diet and exercise? Thanks.

Hba1c test is not about it being positive or negative. It provides an estimate of your average sugar levels over the past 3 months. Based on the level and other factors like blood pressure, cholesterol, heart problems etc, it is decided whether you will require medicines.
