Strictly speaking, diabetics should avoid alcohol completely. If you insist on having it, keep it to less than 30 ml/ day. With such a low daily quota, you would be better off quitting it totally!

Hello, Its always better to avoid, but if at all it should not go beyond 2 drinks per week...thats max.. Diabetes is all about metabolic problems and alcohol further slows down metabolism. Which is surely for good for the glucose uptake.
