I have throat and sternal pain and hoarse voice for the last six years .I have consulted numerous doctors .An endoscopy gave GERD as diagnosis. Since then I have been on various medications to control reflux disease but never did I get any relief. I have been controlling my diet and sleeping posture for some time now. During the latest consultation with my ENT doctor ,after an endoscopy she said the throat region did not show any prominent reflux symptoms. My first doubt is "Is there any means by which I can make sure my problems are due to GERD? As reflux medications do not seem to have any effect on me. Secondly "Is there an endoscopy which thoroughly analyses the spincture at the starting region of oesophagus -I regularly sense a minor pain in my throat when I swallow.
